A Room a Day #1

Just over a year a year ago, we moved into our current house. Against all odds, we nailed down a foreclosure in this absolutely insane market and basically got the place for 50% off its original price. It was a total roller coaster ride and there were numerous points in the ride where I was on the verge of barfing and screaming to get off. But thanks to Brett's persistence and vision, my parents willingness to house us for 7 months, and the grace of God, somehow it worked. So this week, I will attempt to post a picture of each room in the house to give you a glimpse into our nest and to dispel any rumors that we're still living with the folks.


Here's a before pic just for fun... and yes we did have to keep the oak banister. Sanding and re-staining spindles, yeah right...I had to let that one go. And please note the off center fireplace...don't get it.
